Welcome! Accessibility isn't just a checkbox for me—it's personal.

My mission is to create safe spaces for everyone, and that includes making sure my website is accessible to all readers, regardless of ability. If you encounter any barriers while using my site, please let me know. I'm committed to improving and learning.

I believe everyone deserves access to mental health resources, stories, and community. That's why I'm working to ensure this website meets or exceeds accessibility standards.

In plain English, that means I'm doing my best to make this site usable for people with:
• Visual impairments (including blindness and low vision)
• Hearing impairments
• Motor/mobility impairments
• Cognitive disabilities
• Seizure disorders

MY COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY

Here are the accessibility features currently on this website:

✓ Alternative Text: Images include descriptive alt text for screen readers

✓ Keyboard Navigation: You can navigate the site using only your keyboard

✓ Readable Fonts: Clear, legible typography throughout

✓ Descriptive Links: Links describe where they lead (no "click here" links)

✓ Structured Headings: Content is organized with proper heading hierarchy

✓ Resizable Text: You can increase text size without breaking the layout

✓ Form Labels: All form fields are clearly labeled

WHAT I’VE DONE SO FAR

I'm human, and this website is a work in progress.
Here's what I'm actively improving:

• Video Captions: Adding captions to any video content

• Transcript Availability: Providing text transcripts for audio/video

• Screen Reader Optimization: Continuously testing and improving screen reader experience

• Mobile Accessibility: Ensuring full accessibility on mobile devices

WHAT I’M STILL WORKING ON

The mental health resources I link to may have varying levels of accessibility.
I've done my best to choose organizations that prioritize accessibility, but I don't control their websites.

If you need help accessing a specific mental health resource, please reach out. I'll do everything I can to help you find an accessible alternative.

Crisis Resources with Accessibility Features:
• 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call, text, or chat options
• Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741
• The Trevor Project: Multiple contact methods for LGBTQ+ youth
